for the first part of the training today, the team went over to delta special school for cip. it's a special school for children of special needs. all we have to do is to teach them all about netball. we had a demo match for them and they started off with their own inter class captain's ball matches.
during break, we walked around the school. there was this guy who came over and said "HI GIRLS!" to us. his friend scolded him chee koh beh after that. we kind freaked out and walked away quickly. but actually they're all quite nice. we played one match with them. they played really rough. i was so scared that the ball will come flying towards my direction. because if it does, the whole group of them will start running towards you.
we left the school at lunch and head over to great world for lunch. nice and generous ms lim treated us to crystal jade. but we still stuff the money in her wallet on the way back to school on her car. haha.
training was really tough. we had to do two rounds sprint for six sets with a resting interval of 4 mins between every sets. for the last set, it was a "surprise for us. no two rounds, but one instead. but we have to run alone. timing taken individually. mine was 1:43 and i definitely didn expect that. but i think what ms yim said was true. the support given by your teammates can really do a difference.
we did ballwork after that. ms yim keeps chanting "FASTER FASTER, JINGMIN! i want to see the power and the strength in your passes." yup i kind of memorised what she said and she's not wrong. i know it's not fast enough but i know i was trying my best already. i guess i just have to work harder.
then we did shooting with the new netball posts. it's the first time we use it. i simply love shooting. it's the most relaxing drills out of all. approaching end of training, ms yim talked to us regarding our weaknesses and the position that we shall take temporarily. i think i have loads of weaknesses. sigh. i've been made the GS and i think it's super pressurising.
