Maybe my life would have been better without that person. I would have been less cynical, morbid and skeptical. Perhaps I'll have more faith in relationships and not run away whenever there's a problem.
Trust is a special thing. It's not just the kind of trust you have in someone when you share with him/her a secret. Rather, more importantly, it's the trust you give someone to allow him/her into your life. But once you lose it with someone, you can hardly find it back to place it on somebody else.
When you thought it's back in your hands and was ready to let someone have it, you'll still backed out the last minute. That's why sometimes I prefer to go with people who wouldn't exactly ask me for it. Though we don't fully understand each other, at least we wouldn't hurt each other.
Don't get too close. People bite.
