I went over to Sentosa to work today despite it's a Sunday. But it was a fruitful trip! On the way to meet Ruby (our boss) we kind of got lost around the place and we stumbled into places where we're not suppose to enter. But i swear it is purely by accident!
We dropped off at every single stop which the staff RWS8 bus took us to find our way to Ruby. We stumbled upon the USS wardrobe area where the staff gets their uniform. Boy it was so cool. you just have to tap your staff card at this mini door of the wardrobe, which is practically a huge room and the giant machine inside the room will rotate until your uniform, out of millions other sets of uniforms, is situated right at the door so you can open the door to retrieve them.
Then we finally met Ruby at the main lobby of Festive Hotel. She gave us a treat at the cafe. How nice of her (: we then made our way to her store, the Resort World Store. The whole place looks amazing at first glance! It doesn't feel like we're in Singapore? It's as if we're at Genting. There's the Casino, the Universal Studios, the grand hotels and the cool stores like Victoria's Secrets and Jimmy Choo.
And so we spent most of the day at Resort World Store, helping Ruby to display her merchandise. It's quite a meaningful job because she actually gives us a chance to display her high end goods and she actually likes the way i display some of the merchandise. However one downside to work there is that her merchandise can reach up to S$14 000, so we got to be really careful around the shop. If i break anything there, i'll go bankrupt.
There was once when I was trying to check the price of this art piece which is located at the bottom, i saw this lizard inside this vase-like art piece. At first i really thought it came along with the art piece? you know like an add-on or something? It didn't stir at all when i moved the piece. But when yueting and i looked closer it actually looks real. So we shrieked and called for Ruby. She displayed nonchalance at first and said "We welcome all kinds of guests into our shop , you know." She then walked over to check out the lizard with us and i think it started to crawl out of the art piece?! That's when she freaked out and asked us to leave it alone and wait till it climbs out. hahah!
During lunch Ruby said she'll try to give us a tour inside USS. But the main entrance was blocked today so we couldn't get in. She said she'll try to get us in tomorrow again and i'm keeping my fingers crossed! how i wish i could try the rides! darn. Ruby said they have only used dummies to try out the rides -.-
